Bali Travel Website
A Bali travel website has won a Webby Award for best travel site, and is well worth checking out to get a feeling for the peaceful island. Balitempleexplorer.com features both an overview video as well an interactive video and map of three tiny temples in Bali.
The temples featured on the site were filmed during a local festival in 2010. They are all located close to the village of Bedulu, just south of the resort city of Ubud. One of the temples, called "Pura Dalem Marajapati", is devoated to the Balinese god of the dead. It is frequently used for funerals, and the land in front for cremation. The temple is also home to a bi-annual festival called Odalan, which is featured in the video. The site is also an excellent introduction to Balinese culture and architecture.
